Ingredients:
a slice of bread
2 of your favorite fruits
2 tbsp. plain yogurt
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. honey
(optional) cookie cutters
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 450°F or 235°C.
Cut up two of your favorite fruits.
We used mango and strawberry, but anything works. For a pleasing aesthetic, choose two or more fruits with contrasting but complimentary colors.
Cut your fruits in half. Put to the side.
If you are using cookie cutters, cut your fruits so that you have a large flat surface to get the most out of your shapes.
In a small bowl, combine yogurt, egg yolk, and sugar. Mix together to create a creamy custard.
Grab your slice of bread and use the back of a spoon to gently press down on the middle, creating a divot.
This helps the custard and fruit not drip down the sides of the toast.
Spoon your custard onto the bread evenly. Make sure to leave a border around the edge of the toast.
Place your cut up fruit in any shape or pattern you desire!
Bake for 12 minutes.
Let cool.
Add your honey.
Voila! You’ve made Mango Custard Toast!
