Ingredients:
a slice of bread
strawberries
grapes
cream spread
Instructions:
Toast your bread to your desired level of toasty-ness.
Or don’t—as you might be able to tell, we tried this recipe with regular white bread to see how the texture went with the creme. Do whatever suits your fancy!
While your bread is heating up, take a moment to plan out your pixel design! We decided to do a strawberry and drew a quick plan on a scrap piece of paper to know how many cubes of each fruit we needed.
Cut your fruit into small, same-size cubes.
If you have a tiny square cookie cutter, it will be your best friend for this design.
Spread your cream onto your toast.
We used a sweet cream spread, but you can also do cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, hazelnut spread, or even a jam!
Place your cut-up cubes onto the jam, following the design you planned out.
Voila! You’ve made your own Pixel Fruit Toast!
