Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 an egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
almonds
Instructions:
Leave butter out to soften.
Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.
Cream together softened butter and sugar to make a frosting-like mixture; then add your egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine your flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold this into your wet mixture; once you have a dough-like consistency, form into a ball and roll out evenly.
Take your animal-shaped cookie cutters and cut out as many cookies as you can from your dough.
Gently press an almond into the body of the cookie; then gently fold and press each arm over the almond to make it look like they are holding or hugging it.
Use a toothpick to make two small holes for eyes.
Bake for ~10 minutes, until the cookies turn golden at the edges.
Voila! You’ve made your very own Cat & Bunny Cookies!
