Spring Sugar Cookies

Warm that oven up, creatives! Today, we have a recipe for Spring Sugar Cookies—with the cutest edible flower on top. This dessert adds blueberry powder to regular sugar cookie dough to create a delightful taste of the season.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1/2 an egg

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 2 tsps. blueberry powder

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • moon cake press or cookie cutter

Instructions:

  1. Leave butter out to soften.

  2. Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.

  3. Cream together softened butter and sugar to make a frosting-like mixture; then add your egg and vanilla.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine your flour, baking powder, and blueberry powder. Fold this into your wet mixture; once you have a dough-like consistency, form into a ball and roll out evenly.

  5. Take your moon cake press or cookie cutters and cut out as many cookies as you can from your dough.

  6. Gently press an edible pansy or two on top of the cookie.

  7. Bake for ~10 minutes.

  8. Voila! You’ve made your very own Spring Sugar Cookies!
