Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 egg
2 tsp. cherry powder
loose edible flowers
flower cookie press or cookie cutter
Instructions:
Leave butter out to soften.
Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.
Cream together softened butter and sugar to make a frosting-like mixture; then add your egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine your flour, baking powder, cherry powder, and edible flowers. Fold this into your wet mixture; once you have a dough-like consistency, form into a ball and roll out evenly.
You are welcome to add some more edible flowers after this step if you want them to be extra bright and visible after baking.
Use a blossom-like cookie press to cut out your shapes.
Bake for ~8 minutes.
Voila! You’ve made your very own Cherry Blossom Cookies!
