Father’s Day Cookies
Happy Father’s Day! After the success of our personalized cookies and bookmarks with secret messages, we combined the two to create a delicious, decorated Father’s Day Cookie. Made out of sugar cookie dough, we think these letters are the perfect gift for any dad or father figure in your life.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 an egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
food coloring markers or edible paint
Instructions:
Leave butter out to soften.
Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.
Cream together softened butter and sugar to make a frosting-like mixture; then add your egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine your flour and baking powder. Fold this into your wet mixture; once you have a dough-like consistency, form into a ball and roll out evenly.
Cut out dough into squares or rectangles. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for ~10 minutes.
Transfer cookies to wire rack and allow to cool.
Once cool, decorate these squares with a letter design; get as creative or simple as you’d like! Don’t forget you can write messages to your parent on the back!
Voila! You’ve made your very own Father’s Day Cookies!
