Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 an egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
food coloring
Instructions:
Leave butter out to soften.
Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.
Cream together softened butter and sugar to make a frosting-like mixture; then add your egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine your flour and baking powder. Fold this into your wet mixture; once you have a dough-like consistency, form into a ball and roll out evenly
OR form into multiple balls, add food dye to each one, and then roll out each ball evenly.
Take your animal-shaped cookie cutters and press out the shapes from your dough, making sure to save a little bit.
With this leftover dough, roll out small balls about a centimeter in size. We recommend rolling out 7 little balls for each bear—4 for each arm and leg, 2 for ears, and 1 for the nose and snout.
Use a toothpick to poke two holes for eyes and to carve out two lines on the snout for a mouth.
Bake for ~10 minutes.
Transfer cookies to wire rack and allow to cool.
Voila! You’ve made your very own Gummy Bear Cookies!
