Hello Kitty Toast
Let’s get cozy and make something lovely! Another addition to our bread recipes, we have this charming Hello Kitty Toast. In honor of everyone’s favorite childhood character, we’ve used cream cheese and jam to create Hello Kitty’s iconic face and bow.
Interested in the behind the scenes of this treat? We’ve got you covered:
Ingredients:
a slice of bread
2 tbsps. cream cheese
2 tbsps. strawberry jam
2 tbsp. of chia seeds
melted chocolate
edible food markers
piping bags/ziploc bags
Instructions:
Toast your bread to your desired level of toasty-ness.
While your bread is heating up, spoon cream cheese into your piping bag or ziploc. In a separate bag, do the same with your melted chocolate.
Don’t forget to cut the tips off of the corners when you are ready to use them.
Once your toast has cooled a bit, pipe out 5 cream cheese cats onto its surface. Focus on creating a circle for the head and two small points for the ears.
If you’d like to do the same design we did, starting with the heads on each corner and finishing with the one in the middle may help you judge your space more evenly and create same-size cats.
Spoon out jam into the spaces between the cats. Once you’re done, add a little line of jam onto each right ear, making Hello Kitty’s iconic bow!
With your chocolate piping bag, make two small dots for eyes on each head.
(Optional) This toast will look great no matter what, but if you have edible food markers, use black to draw out her whiskers and a yellow for her little nose!
Voila! You’ve made your own Hello Kitty Toast!
