Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 an egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
food coloring markers or edible paint
Instructions:
Leave butter out to soften.
Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C.
Cream together softened butter and sugar to make a frosting-like mixture; then add your egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, combine your flour and baking powder. Fold this into your wet mixture; once you have a dough-like consistency, form into a ball and roll out evenly.
Take your animal-shaped cookie cutters and press out as many cookies as you can from your dough.
Place two cookies next to each other and gently press their arms together to make them hold hands!
Bake for ~10 minutes.
Transfer cookies to wire rack and allow to cool.
Once cool, decorate these pairs in outfits, matching accessories, or anything you can think of with edible markers or edible paints!
Don’t forget to add two eyes and a nose!
Voila! You’ve made your very own Paired Cookies!
